KOMOS GmbH donates raised bed for daycare center in Jena

Our long-standing employee Andreas Weber, gave the impetus for the project and built a “Anne Frank” a raised bed in Jena Lobeda. Mr. Weber has dedicated himself privately to wood art, designed and built the construction and applied the children’s handprints as colorful decoration. KOMOS GmbH immediately took over the procurement of materials, soil, plants and their transportation. Naturally, the children had to get involved and help unload the KOMOS multicar with their shovels.

Even the teachers on site were not too shy to swing the shovel. “After all, you have a role model function,” said Lisa Bauer with a smile, leaning on the shovel while the children transported the soil with all kinds of tools, including trucks and wheelbarrows. In between, the children jumped up and down in the bed to compact the material. Finally, everyone planted the plants they had brought along in the fresh soil and the children presented Mr. Weber with a self-written thank-you letter and chocolate as a thank-you.
